How many project post layouts are included with the theme? The demo only highlights one.
Hello, There is a single project post layout, where you will have: a fullscreen top slider, the title of project, the category below the title and then, the content itself. However, you can give up at top slider in order to begin your project with headings instead. In case you have more questions, you could also contact us at "[email protected]" Kind Regards, PikartHouse Team
Hello! I was wondering if it's possible to prevent images from being cropped on fullscreen gallery. Images are not really cropped, but I need them to be correctly displayed. Have a look at my demo: http://www.mintlab.it/remodigennaro/ It's a photographer portfolio, I don't want images to be partially hidden. Let me know if I can disable the fullscreen mode and use fullwith one. Thanks
Why do I get the following error why running composer in the child-theme directory? [UnexpectedValueException] Could not parse version constraint ~1.'arkfield-child': Invalid version string "~1.'arkfield-child'" I'd like to add a new dependency to extend the child-theme.
Hi. Nice work, but there is no update since a almost one year. will it work with woocommerce 3.3.1, wordpress 4.9.4? cheers
Hello, First, thank you for your words and question! Then, regarding your issues: the theme works well with the last version of WordPress (4.9.4) and with the following versions of WooCommerce: 2.4.x and 2.5.x as it is mentioned in theme description. In case you have more questions, you could also contact us at: [email protected] Kind Regards, Pikarthouse
Nice Theme GLWS :)
Thank you, wish you the same! :)
Dear PikartHouse Team Regarding blogposts; Is it possible to have the "hoovereffect" from projects in the pagebuilder view? Could you please tell me in which file and on which line the code is. Thank you a lot in advanced. -Gloria
Hi! You have a great theme (a lot of hard work, i suppose). I'd like to order it, but still have some questions (after hours of studying docs and other stuff :)) 1. Do i need to install woocommerce plugin if i'm not going to use shop functionality? 2. How can i inrease speed of site-load? (maybe not activating some plugins) 3. Have you visual composer plugin in your theme? thanks!
Hello, To begin with, thank you for your words and questions! Regarding your issues: 1. Yo do not need to install WooCommerce Plugin in case you do not need shop functionality. 2. In case you want to increase the speed of site load, the best way would be to reduce the size of the images you use on the same page. The plugins the theme uses do not affect too much the site load time. 3. The theme is not made compatible with Visual Composer Plugin. Hope I clear out your doubts :) In case you have more questions, you could also contact us at: [email protected] Kind Regards, PikartHouse Team
Hi! And thank very much for your answers. You definitly cleared out my doubts :)

Hi, I would like to buy this theme but I have a question. There are social media buttons on each project page, but they don't seem to share the project on those social medias. Can I accomplish this with the theme? I would like to use these buttons to share the project and I need a way to control which image gets shared. Thanks
Hello, The social media buttons you saw on each of the project pages could be set up by yourself. All you need is to choose the right icon (via Shortcodes) and then the link to your project (for example, pinterest-icon and the link to the project from www.pinterest.com). You will be able to insert these social media buttons anywhere in your project page, not just at the bottom of it. Could you tell me what do you mean by saying "I need a way to control which image gets shared" ? Thank you!
You didn't understand what I meant. Those buttons are not sharing the project item on facebook, for example, they are only linking to facebook. My question is: what I configure is a URL or do they actually use the share code to publish the project on social media?
Ok, it is quite clear now. The social media buttons just use the URL to redirect you to social media sites (not the share code).
Hi, I love this theme. I have two questions. Apologies if these have been answered already. 1) Are or can the thumbnails for the portfolio be separate images from the portfolio images? e.g. can I use a logo or can i crop the image as I want or does this happen in the code without any control from my part? 2) Can posts include Vimeo videos and can these be played as a lightbox? Thanks,
Hello Tito, Thank you for your nice words and questions! Regarding the issues you asked: 1. The thumbnails are not separate images from those of portfolio. So, the changes (crops) applied for a thumbnail (featured image) will reflect on the same image, inserted - for example - in other parts of theme content. 2. The posts can include Vimeo videos, but they could not be played in separate lightboxes. Hope I cleared up your questions! Kind Regrads, PikartHouse Team
Hi thanks. Regarding No1, does the image featured as thumbnail need to be the main one or the first one seen in the post? Or can it be one of the many? (Sorry if this is quite specific request but this is very important for the kind of portfolio I am designing). Thanks.
Hello again, The featured image could be any image you want. It is NOT tied to FullscreenSlider - if it is this you refer as "main one" (at the top of the page. Regarding FullscreenSlider, you have a special box in the Project dashboard to insert any images you want for this slider). Also, it is NOT tied to images placed in the Project content (including here the "first one" you mentioned before). Hope this will help you! In case you need more details about this issue, you could write us at: [email protected] Kind Regards, PikartHouse Team
Thanks for your help.
You are welcome. Kind Regards, PikartHouse Team
Hi, can a gallery be made up of Videos from Vimeo? Thanks. Tito
Hello Tito, The theme doesn't have support for Vimeo videos inside a gallery. It is just possbile to embed Vimeo videos inside posts, projects or pages content. Kind Regards, Ion
I cant get it to work, crashes wordpress with: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING or '(' in **/wp-content/themes/arkfield/functions.php on line 2 whenever I try and activate it
Hello! It seems to be a PHP version error. We mentioned in theme description that the theme requires PHP 5.3 or higher (we do not offer support for lower versions of PHP). Could you give us more details about your PHP version and, eventually, your WordPress version? You could also write us to "[email protected]".
Ah thats a shame my host refuses to upgrade beyond PHP Version 5.2.17
From the very beginning, when I read your message, I supposed that it could be a PHP version problem, because we tested the theme on all the versions we specified in theme description, both WordPress and PHP. I also spoke with our Back-end developer and he told me the same. Maybe you could try to change your host in order to get a higher version of PHP? We didn't make the theme compatible with lower versions of PHP (below 5.3), because technologies are evolving and more and more sites are running on the latest versions of PHP, including WordPress sites ( https://wordpress.org/about/stats/ ). Beside this, newer versions of PHP offer the right tools to work with to make great products. We are really interested in your problem, so we are waiting to hear from you about PHP version problem! In case we can help you with something else, don't hesitate to contact us!
Great theme, Good luck with sales :)
Thanks for appreciation! :)
Lovely theme! Good luck with sales :)
Thanks for appreciation! :) Wish you the same!
Hi! is't possible to center the logo on the theme? Best regards Oliver
And the theme don't work with woocommerce
Hi Oliver, The logo, as you saw in DemoPreview, could be positioned just on the left side of the header. In case you want to customize it in order to appear in the center of the header, you should use either Custom CSS option or child-theme (depending on the type of changes). Regarding wooCommerce, could you provide to us more details at: [email protected] to see where the issue is? Thank you! Waiting for your answer! Kind Regards, PikartHouse Team
Hi, would I be able to include any Google font? And if not, what's the list of available fonts? Thanks!
Hello, First, thank you for your question. Of course you could change the theme fonts for both Headings and Main Body Text. I will write down couple of available Google fonts in Arkfield Theme: Droid Sans, Josefin Sans, Oswald, PT Sans, Roboto, Ubuntu, Lato, Montserrat, Open Sans, Raleway etc. If you want the complete list of Google Fonts available for Arkfield, you contact us directly to "[email protected]". Hope I cleared out your doubts. Kind Regards, PikartHouse Team
Thanks, well I haven't bought the theme yet, as I wanted to make sure I like the available Google fonts. Or would I be able to use any Google Font? Thanks!
I understood later that you haven't bought yet the theme, that is why I rewrote the message from above, where I gave more explanations. However, if you want to find out the entire list of Google Fonts that Arkfield offers, let us your mail on "[email protected]" and we will send to you the entire list. Thank you!
Hello, I have just downloaded your fantastic looking theme. I have tried to upload the theme to Wordpress and it is coming up with this message "The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet. Theme install failed." I am completely new to this and would really appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks
Hello, Thank you for your beautiful words! Regarding the issue you mentioned before, could you provide to us more details to this mail: "[email protected]", like the steps you did while trying to install the theme. It would really help us to find out what's the point. Waiting for your answer! Kind Regards, PikartHouse Team
Dear PikartHouse, I like your theme a lot, but before deciding to purchase it I have a few questions left.
To begin with, thank you for your nice words and questions!
Regarding the issues you asked: 1. You could have different portfolios on separated pages (because of the PageBuilder Template the theme comes with), without mixing them up; 2. By default, it is not possible to place the category bar above a Fullgrid portfolio (in case you want this, there is a need of coming with separate code in a child-theme); 3. It is possible to separate the categories from 2 different portfolios (due to the PageBuilder Template, you are able to choose specific categories to display in a certain portfolio, also - at the same time - to pick up specific projects to show); 4. By default, the maximum size of the logo is 180px. But, the size can be easily changed via Custom CSS option the theme comes with (in case you need assistance, we could help you); 5. If you refer at the GoogleMap from Contact Page, yes, the theme includes the Map plugin in its code and the map will always be stylized as you see in the demo. Then, you are able to pick up and change the location pin according to your needs; 6. It depends what you have in the background: in case you have a WordPress Multisite network, you can create a separate site where you will be able to build up your new site and, then, to switch to it when it is ready.
In case you need more details about the theme, you could also contact us at: [email protected] Kind Regards, PikartHouse Team
Thank you for your answers. I think it is worth to take the shot. My current site is a WP site, so that should not be a big issue then. Also the possibility of making a category bar is good. If I need it, I hope I can contact you if I can't get it done myself (never worked with a child-theme before). Kind regards, Joren Hoogeboom
Cheers, Beautiful theme. I have a few questions before I purchase the theme: 1. My homepage will be displaying the full grid view. Will I be able to reorder the posts in the grid? -- Meaning, I can take the 12th post and move it up to the 3rd post positioning in the grid. 2. In the full grid view I only count 12 posts (images) --- if I wanted to display 100 posts (images) in the full grid view all on one page as the user scrolls down, will that be possible to edit the number of posts shown on a page? Thanks, Matt
Hello Matt, I am glad to answer your questions (hope I understand you well): First, I want to mention that the posts of Fullgrid View are created via Projects Custom Post Type (Add -> New Project). In order to not make a confusion, I call the posts form Fullgrid View - projects. 1. You are able to change the order of posts/projects in Fullgrid view by changing their day of publishing. The main and single way - at this moment - to change their order is by changing their publishing date. 2. It is possible to change the number of projects/posts shown on the Homepage. For example, if you have 20 projects, and you will want to display just 10 projects, you will be able to set up one the PageBuilder options to show the "last 10 projects" (of course in order of their publishing date, which is editable). In case you want to show 15 projects, you will be able to display "the last 15 projects". I hope I cleared out your questions! In case you have more questions, you could write directly to "[email protected]" And thank you for your nice words! Kind Regards, PikartHouse Team
