Brickayer – current version 1.4 available for download!

For Everyone

When you install this plugin you’ll get a drag & drop widget based interface inside your page editor. You’ll have 20+ widgets (bricks) to be your building blocks for any type of design. Bricklayer helps you build your content fast and easy. On top of that Bricklayer plugin is a layout building tool. You can create endless number of layouts: fullwidth, boxed, right-sidebar, left-sidebar, narrow, anything you can thing of. Also, every configuration can be saved as template and reused anywhere.

For Frontend Developers

Bricklayer offers an easy way of making your custom classes be entered or selected directly from the widgets. This means that you can have endless variations on each of default bricks. Also, this plugin lets you enter any custom CSS rules.

For Backend Developers

Bricklayer is easily extendable. You can register your own widgets (bricks) with no restrictions on how you display them on the frontend. Creating and registering widgets resembles Wordpress widget system that you are familiar with.

I have the exact same problem as jokewouters and unfortunately deactivating and reactivating didn't help. Additionally I can't save anything. But it turns out that editing and saving works when manually copying the markup from another page first. Before it "crashed" I updated the plugin and added a template.

I use the Bricklayer plugin in the Carry Hill theme. the visual editor is blank and it’s not possible to enter any text. I Get the following Parse error on down below (backend) in my WP pages: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '{' in /home/userA/a0934700/public_html/bambinomontessori.se/wp-content/plugins/bricklayer-content-builder/backend/views/content-builder.phtml on line 69 When I deactivate the Bricklayer Content Builder (version 1.3) the editor works fine. I´m using WP version 4.0 (didn´t work in WP version 3.8 either).

I picked up a Special Needs school's website after their web guy vanished. They are running Carry-Hill 1.0 when we edit a page we get this: Notice: Undefined index: cbp_use_layout in /home/impactac/public_html/wp-content/plugins/bricklayer-content-builder/base/CbpMetaField.php on line 61 I repurchased carry-hill but dont see a updated Bricklayer in their package. Do they need to purchase it again

I must give you the same answer as I did to flkyle. You need to match versions. Check your theme and plugin versions. The easiest way is to just update the theme and follow the update video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MgMU-svTn64

New version of WordPress appears to have broken bricklayer (Carry Hill) on client site. Instead of the main buttons I am seeing "function (n){return o.call(this,n,m)} " all over bricklayer. Any advice?

"Hi, thanks! 1. Yes, this plugin should work with any theme. 2. I believe it can, but currently the menu widget is using superfish horizontal menu. I intend to include superfish vertical styling as well. Maybe you could include this vertical css. Another approach for side menu would be to include a wp default widget “Custom Menu” through Bricklayer “WP Widget” widget or include a whole sidebar with “WP Sidebar” widget. 3. My intention is to have a set of general widgets (or bricks) that will be your basic building blocks which will conform to theme styling and which will also allow css customizations. I’m thinking of the missing bricks (widgets) to complete this general set. After that, I will start putting together a more specific brick set. I’m working on this, but can’t talk of dates yet. 4.This initial version is not compatible with Woo 2.1.x in the sense that Woo support is not enabled. As we speak I’m working on enabling Bricklayer for Woo and plan to make template overrides. This means including a set of Woo bricks (widgets) as well. 5. There is only “Easy Gallery” for now with tags for filtering. I will consider making a brick (widget) capable of picking up on a CPT and present it as filterable gallery. This is a very promising plugin. I’m going to keep my eyes on this one. " Great Job! !!! updating !!! Best regards
