How do I combine actions?
Hello Why do I got this message all the time? „Could not use the art history brush because the current canvas size does not match that of history state.“ Canvas Size is 3000x4510. Everything’s loaded correctly. Not my first sevenstyles Action. Photoshop CC2018 Thanks in advance G.
Solved it :)
once again a soon to be huge success :) GL
I always appreciate your support :) cheers
Hi, looks awesome. What is the maximum resolution/size it can handle with a professional result?
Hey - I would highly recommend working in the range of 3000 - 4500 pixels for a nice sharp detailed result. You can work on higher res photos, but it just takes more time to playback as it requires for memory and CPU usage. Even if you open a photo and the and have to scale it up you will still get a really nice result. All of my examples I had rescaled the higher dimension (Either width or height) to anywhere between 3000 - 4000 pixels. For example: If I open a photo and its dimensions are 2900 x 1400, then I would rescale it up to 3500 x 2333. Thanks
Thanks for the quick reply!
Hi All! A reminder that if you require assistance with this Action or any other Sevenstyles Actions, please contact me via my support email address on the support page here. The support page covers frequently asked questions along with updates that I have made to Actions. This Action along with all other Sevenstyles Actions have been tested and working on the latest version of Photoshop and all other versions mentioned in the item description. Thank you all for your support! Sevenstyles
The action stops after the last step "cleaning all unwanted lines (or so)" The Layers folder on the right hand side looks not like in the tutorial and the result does not look finished. Sometimes the action plays over and over again. So there must be something wrong here or with that action.
By now I run out of options. I've tried everything. After step 6 clicking on play this message appears: "the object "action St1 (Don't touch) of set mixed media - by sevenstyles"" is not currently available. Clicking on continue results in a not finished action and the layer panel on the right gives me not the possibility to collapse like in the tutorial shown. I like this actions and I bought a few but the help for this is pretty pure.
Hey! Thanks for emailing :) Cheers
This is a place for comments, not for help. f you have a problem, just visit his help page and, if still not solved, send him an email (address on his help page). With so many actions, I don't think he reads comments on each one each day. I have bought tons of actions from this dev, occasionally encountered problems (as I am a Photoshop novice) but each and every one was quickly solved in the help page or through email.
Hey! Thanks for the comment! It is much faster if I can work with customers via email as I can see screenshots and send over test file if need be. I have tried to cover as many well-known errors with solutions on the help page here. Please email me though if you are stuck. Just let me know what version of Photoshop you are using along with a screenshot of your Photoshop interface where the Action stalls - this really helps speed up the process of clearing out the problem. Thanks again for the comment tluongsi and thanks for your support!
One I started the purchase there was one (1) previous buyer. When finishing there were four (4). Guess this must be a good one...:-)
When I started, not "One"...
Thanks for the support and I hope you are enjoying it! I had a great time creating the preview images, but then I need to stop and move onto the next effect ;)
I'm having a little issue. Whenever it gets to select layer "Mvis Lns", it breaks. Tried it twice. I'm guessing I need to reset some or other area of photoshop ?
Hey, Would you be able to send me a screenshot of your Photoshop interface where the Action hangs up? Also if you can let me know what version of Photoshop you are using. From what you're saying I am not quite sure what is happening but will have a better idea when I see what is going on in the layer and Actions panel. My email address is on the help page here. Scroll down the page and click 'Show More', from there you will see my email address in the large bold text. Thanks
In the PS v2018 I got the problem that I don't get after watercolor removing brush the outline brush. The script gives no stop for this. Its going to whitelines and black there I get layer is blank.
oke, had to reinstall all the elements in Ps now step 3 is working again.
Ok great! Thanks for the update on that :)
Oh my word this is amazing :-) and the tutorial is 5*. I don't normally use PS, but your step by step instructions are so clear that it was no problem at all.
Thank you very much!
Hi, I'm having problems with these actions. The "command is not currently available" error. I see you can not find the "Mvis Lns" layer when I examine it. Because before, Lns joins the layer group. When I interfere, it makes another mistake. Can you help me please. PS cc 2017.00 version
Hey no worries! Just make sure you are brushing lines onto your photo at step 3. Even if you don't want the lines, you will need to brush them on. You can remove those lines after the Action has completed. My email address is on the help page here. hello, unfortunately it does not work for me. it immediately starts with "Snapshot 1 not available" and then more than 30 similar error messages follow. while running shows a lot of errors and result is not useful. the picture is garbage.
englisch only, ... thx
Hi - Did you get it working? To get rid of that error, close down your photo and re-open it. Just make sure that when you open it not to re-size or crop your image before running the Action. If you are still stuck please email me. My email address is on the help page here. Scroll down the page and click 'Show More', from there you will see my email address in the large bold text. Thanks
Exclusive Job, GLWS ;)
Hi there, very nice job! I just have an issue, not an expert but I have a window saying this: "Could not use the art history brush because the history state lacks a corresponding layer" Do you know where and what I need to do? Thank you
Hi there. I have some troubles using the action. I have the german version of photoshop and seems like there are some issues with the action. Could somebody help me out?
Sorry - found out the reason by my self. Used a atn translation software on that. thank you for that great action - I LOVE IT!
Great! Out of curiosity, you used an ATN translator to get it to work on your German version? Would you be able to post a link or email me the link where others can obtain this? It would be helpful for many people using others versions other than English. My email address is on the help page here. Scroll down the page and click 'Show More', from there you will see my email address in the large bold text. Thanks
Hi there, I used the atn action translator tool -> that can be found here: http://www.kyrsoft.com/articles/atn-translator/ There is a tutorial in english and german how to use this tool.
Hi, just purchsed the mixed media photoshop action, and installed as per instructions into PS5. Followied the video for installing items - all OK it seems, but as soon as I press play the first message I see is - The command 'make' is not currently available. Pressing again, I then get - Couldnt use the art history brush because the history state lacks a corresponding layer - and thats it! Hope you can help because I really can see the potential of the action from the video....
Hi there, I've been using some of your actions for some time (they are awesome) since i did the cc 2018 update I get the "select command no available" and a similar error with some other commands too and on other actions (not just yours). I've found for some, the name of the layers has to be very precise (even down to something like "brush" vs "Brush" but in some cases it is just saying an entire command is not available. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills :). And I am seeing others across the net with the same issue. Should I sit tight and wait for adobe toi address this or will the creators who make the actions need to issue updates? Thoughts?
Hey! It is most likely an issue with your file setup. Sometimes Photoshop preference files can stop working correctly as well after an update. 99% of the time though, errors are caused by incorrect file setup. If I do discover an error in the Action though, I update it immediately. Actions are a bit like coding, if there is one thing out of place (like "brush' vs "Brush") then the whole program will break. This Action also requires that you load up the brushes and pattern files before running the Action, so if they are not present then you will get a 'Select' error. The best way for me to help is if you can email me. This way I can send you a test file to run which will just help me see what is causing the issue for you. What also greatly helps is if you send me a screenshot of your entire Photoshop interface where the first error shows. I can point out immediately whats causing it and how to fix it. My email address is on the help page here. Scroll down the page and click 'Show More', from there you will see my email address in the large bold text. Thanks!
Looks very good! 8) as always,bro! ;)
Nice work! ; -)
It quits on me and gives me this bubble. "Could not use the art history brush because the history state lacks a corresponding layer." I tried making some adjustments in the art history panel.. no avail
Hey - This Action uses the Art History Brush, so it uses a snapshot of the opened state of your photo to refer to during the Action playback. If you open your photo and make changes to it such as cropping, trimming, using the Image Size or Canvas Size commands, or rotating any amount other than 180 degrees it will create the error. If you have made any changes to your photo after opening it, then save it, reopen it and then run the Action to remove the error. Hope that helps! If you are still stuck please email me.
