I love this! I use the Word version because I don't have PhotoShop or InDesign. I My problem is that I'm not able to change the John Doe dummy info. (web, mobile and email) in the colored footer at the bottom of the Cover Letter and Reference pages. Can you tell me how to update it with my own info?

You can easily change that section by editing the Master Page in Word.

I've never used inDesign before, but when I open this up in CS4 on windows a lot of things are messed up. Under the skills sections the bullets are square instead of round and most of the graphics seem to not be as good of quality as shown on the demo or the pdf's that come with the download. Am I doing something wrong? One more thing ... I really wish you would have said something about the fonts not being free. If I want to buy all of the fonts in for this file it will be over a hundred dollars. I know you linked to them, but I just assumed they were free and didn't check before purchasing.

Hi, In order to see the files in high resolution, you need to go to the View menu / Display Performance / High Quality Display. Usually InDesign will use the default display preview (Typical Preview), which I think is the one that you are using to see these files. All the icons I am including in the package are vector files (high resolution & CMYK). As I said, if you change the resolution you will be able to see the icons in high res. Sorry about the fonts, I forgot to mention that they weren't free. If you want, you can write me to my personal email (though graphicriver interface), so I can give you advice about which free fonts you can use instead. Regards

Nice work! I really enjoy the style. There's just one problem. I am using the .doc files and well, your download gives me two blue formats and zero black formats. In other words, I don't get the black resume style in word format. Otherwise, great stuff!

Hello! First off. I really like this template. It's excellent! Being a web developer I've never worked with inDesign before, so bare with me. I can't seem to get the vector graphics to appear in high resolution (ticked the box in View), the bullets appear as squares and overall the quality looks pixelated and it carries through to the PDF. Also, what free fonts do you recommend as replacements? Best regards, Richard

Hi Richard, To fix the resolution problem you should do the following: under the view menu, go to "Display Performance". There you can select what resolution you would like to use for working in InDesign. If the problem continues, then you should make sure that those files are linked to your InDesign file. As for the typeface, please send me an email through the interface so I can send you the instructions of what you should do. Best

Hi. I've got the item and it is great. But, as I don't have (yet) any Adobe suite nor Indesign nor Photoshop, I can only edit the M$ Word template file you provide. I'm having a hard time adding experience an education items in the word file. Just copying/pasting doesn't work. Any tip? Thanks

Hi there, I am not sure what are you trying to do exactly. I have the file open in my computer right now and I can copy and paste. Some sections are located in the master page. Not sure if that's something you noticed already. In any case, try to send me a screenshot, so I can provide further assistance. Please send me an email through my profile when you have a chance Thanks

In Word (2007), you cannot copy/paste (clone) items (or "blocks") from experience nor education sections (in case you have more items than default designed). However I've managed to solve this by going through Indesign. Thanks!

@SugarShark I agree, I had the same problem tonight, it took way longer than needed to remove everything. I highly suggest to the author on the next update, please separate each MS Word page to a separate document for easier editing and distributing. I understand it should be distributed in PDF format, however some websites and places request a MS Word document when sending in a resume. Also for the author, please advise how to change the skill circles colors in MS Word 2010 / 2013. I am unable to find an option to change the opacity level. What setting is used to adjust the highlighted / non highlighted status?

Hi leaddog, I already made some comments in regards to some of your points (see below). In relation to the opacity, I am using Word 2011 and you can adjust the opacity of an image by decreasing its transparency. Since I don't use MS Word 2010/2013, I will have to investigate where you can adjust the transparency there. In 2011, you can see the transparency slider on the toolbar, below the menu. I would try to have a solution for you sometime tomorrow. You can also reach me through my profile if you have more questions/concerns. Thanks for your comments.

I recommend you to export the file to PDF. Here is how: 1. Go to 'File' menu and select 'Export'. 2. In the next popup window, select Adobe PDF (print) from the combo box located on the bottom of the window. 3. In the next dialog window, open 'Adobe PDF Preset' dropdown-list and select [Smallest File Size] if you are sending this by email, or [Press Quality]. This last preset is wonderful for creating high-quality PDFs , but the file can be slightly bigger in comparison to the results you get when using the 'Smallest File Size' preset. It's up to you which one will you choose.
